Medical Office Receptionist [United States]


 

Job Overview:

The Medical Office Receptionist will work closely with our entire team and will be integral to our practice operations and patient experience. This role is considered primary for delivering care coordination services for our patients by cultivating personal relationships with our patients. In addition, they will be properly organizing and prioritizing projects and staying two steps ahead of any issues.

This is a customer-facing position that provides the highest-quality client service and patient care at the practice.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide care coordination for your patients:Be the main point of contact for our patients with our front office
  • Provide patient interface with other offices and hospital
  • Schedule appointments for all types of visits for MD and RNs: house call, office, referrals, labs, imaging, etc.
  • Track all patient’s outside appointments
  • Track imaging results, consult notes, and other patient records
  • Organize and upload records to EMR and ensure medical team has prompt access
  • Arrange prior authorization for imaging and procedures
  • Facilitate the meeting of any further patient needs
  • Answer, screen, triage, and transfer phone calls coming to main office line during office hours
  • Organize and forward summaries of results and outside visit notes to MDs and RNs as soon as available
  • Contribute to team projects to help improve and build our organization
  • Assist onboarding and off--boarding patients following organization protocols
  • Execute DME Orders and monitor tracking
  • Give referrals with verbal or written consent and verification from MD.
  • Make Medical Records Requests and upload to chart
  • Complete specific tasks related to onboarding new patients into the practice

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional professionalism in all personal, telephone, and written interactions
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and discretion
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Medical Assisting or LVN license preferred
  • High energy and enthusiasm, including passion for our mission
  • Strong drive for continued self and group improvement
  • Computer literacy and high comfort level working across multiple platforms: Apple, G Suite, Electronic Medical Records, etc.
  • Adaptability, as roles and responsibilities will change as the practice thrives and develops further

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
