The Director of Student Services (DSS) is responsible for the leadership, administration, and supervision of all supports offered to students through the student services office including but not limited to: special education, school nurses, homeless students, homebound programs, and all other federal and state required programs. The DSS will oversee the IEP team meeting process, coach and support special education teachers to follow the schools procedures for evaluations, develop IEPs, and manage all timelines to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The DSS reports to the Executive Director, and works collaboratively with other school leaders and teachers to ensure high quality special education service delivery, ensuring that all students have access to the curriculum and that the school is in compliance with all laws and regulations.BFCCPS opened in 1995 as one of the first Charter Schools in Massachusetts. As a K-8 school, our mission is to assist parents in their role as primary educators of their children by providing students with a classical academic education coupled with sound character development and community service.
