Post by Jobing - The Manager PACU & Preâ€"Op and Preâ€"Admit Testingâ€"DV is responsible for the management and quality patient care for pa! tients of all ages in the Hospital and PACU/Preâ€"op and Preâ€"Admit Testing departments on a 24 hour basis. S/he ensures that patients receive high quality care and service. Oversight of the assessment and care of PACU/Preâ€"op and Preâ€"Admit Testing patients. S/he ensures that surgeons and anesthesiologist are able to provide services to patients in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
Manages the full spectrum of Preâ€"Admit Testing to assure an extremely positive experience for patients, surgeons and physicians’ offices to assure that efforts are well coordinated and patients are adequately assessed, tested and prepared prior to surgery. Demonstrates clinical expertise and directs the nursing staff in the execution of the nursing process. S/he assists in the development and compliance with the unit and staff performance standards. S/he works collaboratively with other Departments.
S/he assists the Administrative Director with the preparation and ! execution of unit budgets. Participates in long range planning! . Provides first line direction to all the units for which the Administrative Director is responsible in the Director’s absence as designated. Analyzes department and customer needs to include: staffing, products, equipment and services provided to users.
1. Administers the direct and indirect patient care within the Endoscopy departments. Assists with the development of and compliance to departmental and clinical standards. Ensures the safe, efficient and effective operations of the Preâ€"op/PACU and Preâ€"Admit Testing Departments on a daily basis.
2. Manages all departmental personnel. 3. Participates actively in the preparation and maintenance of the annual operational departmental budget.
Provides input for departmental capital equipment requests. 4. Participates in all regulatory and licensure processes. 5.
Develops and ensures effective quality control in the department. 6. Uses hospital and departmental policies as a basis for d! ecision making both clinical and management issues. 7.
Oversees development of programs ensuring continuing education of all staff members in order to meet organizational goals and individual position competencies. POSITION QUALIFICIATIONS: * Associates degree in Nursing or related PLUS must be enrolled in Bachelor's in Nursing. BSN must be completed within 6 months of being hired into the position. * 3 â€" 5 Years Clinical experience with 2 â€" 3 years in management /supervisory/education leadership * PACU competent * Verified current Arizona or other compact state RN license * Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS Must demonstrate proficiency in Electronic Health Record post hire by attending required training and passing proficiency test.
