Post by Jobing - COME JOIN us as we seek an RN who is passionate about healthcare and the safety of our patients for our CVOR department. This RN will assess patient/family health problems and resources, take a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. The OPEN HEART SURGERY unit, opened in 2003, is part of the Cardioâ€"Vascular Service Line at Chandler Regional Medical Center, which is in line with the Mission, Visi! on and Values of Dignity Health.
We offer full line o! f service on adult clients, except heart and lung transplant. The CVOR surgeries include thoracic and vascular cases and are performed electively and emergently. With 2 open heart rooms, the program show steady increase in it's volume. Since CY '2007, the program averages over 300 open heart cases and @ 250 cases for Thoracic and Vascular combined.
We are staffed with 3 team members per case including an RN, a Scrub Tech and a CV Monitoring Tech trained to second circulate in the room and is also highly competent in starting Aâ€"lines and IV'S, managing the balloon pump and blood gas, and assisting anesthesiologist on line placements. The team is very flexible and hardworking. All are willing to stagger work hours depending on time of case. We cover the hospital 24/7 with 1st call and 2nd call.
Located in the City of Chandler, Az, a suburb of Phoenix, this position is critical to the success of Chandler Regional Medical Center and requires the full underst! anding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West (CHW). MINIMUM We are not accepting applications from new grads for this position One year open heart surgery experience. ADN, Diploma, BSN or Foreign Equivalent. Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, intraâ€"aortic balloon pump skills.
Current AZ State RN License in good standing. Current BLS card. ACLS card within 6 months of hire.
