The Surgery Procedure Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the schedules of physicians, operating rooms, anesthesi! ologists, equipment, lab work and any other required items/staff in accordance with a physician's recommendation for patient care. Acts as a liaison between the patient, provider/referring physician, primary care physician, and other parties involved in the surgery/procedure to include distribution of pre and post-operative information to the patient. Gather and record financial and insurance information and ensure authorizations are obtained prior to the procedure/surgery.
Located in Phoenix, AZ this position is critical to the success of St. Josephâs Hospital and Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West (CHW).
REQUIREMENTS:
Three years related experience
Familiarity with operating room scheduling processes critical
Ability to effectively interact with insurance carriers is also required
High School Dipl! oma/GED
PREFERRED:
Bi-lingual preferred
Previous office experience preferred
College level business coursework preferred
Medical Assistant Certificate preferred
Basic Computer skills, Outlook, window-based programs
