COME JOIN US as we are seeking a dedicated CV Technologist who is compassionate and shares our passion for our patients, and families and hospital and will provide excellent service to the pati! ents in the Open Heart Surgery Department.
The OPEN HEART SURGERY unit, opened in 2003, is part of the Cardio-Vascular Service Line at Chandler Regional Medical Center, which is in line with the Mission, Vision and Values of Catholic Healthcare West. We offer full line of service on adult clients, except heart and lung transplant. The CVOR surgeries include thoracic and vascular cases and are performed electively and emergently. With 2 open heart rooms, the program show steady increase in it's volume. Since CY '2007, the program averages over 300 open heart cases and @ 250 cases for Thoracic and Vascular combined. We are staffed with 3 team members per case including an RN, a Scrub Tech and a CV Monitoring Tech trained to second circulate in the room and is also highly competent in starting A-lines and IV'S, managing the balloon pump and blood gas, and assisting anesthesiologist on line placements. The team is very flexible and hardworking. All are willing to stagg! er work hours depending on time of case. We cover the hospital! 24/7 with 1st call and 2nd call.
This position is critical to the success of Chandler Regional Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Catholic Healthcare West.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years current hands-on scrub experience within an open heart surgery Lab
Two years as cardiovascular monitoring technician to include but not limited to A-Line and IV insertion, balloon pump insertion
Graduate from an approved CVT Program
RCIS or equivalent license preferred
Current BLS card
Current ACLS within 6 months of hire
PREFERRED:
Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification Preferred
