Post by Jobing - COME JOIN us as we seek a dynamic TECHNICIAN SR who is passionate about healthcare and the wellâ€"being of our patients for our CVOR department. The surgical technician will provide excellent service to the patients of the CVOR Department, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff. The OPEN HEART SURGERY unit, opened in 2003, is part of the Cardioâ€"Vascular Service Line at Chandler Regional Medical Center, which is in line with the Mission, Vision and Values of Catholic Healthcare West. We offer full line of service on adult clients, except heart and lung transplant.
The CVOR surgeries include thoracic and vascular cases and are performed electively and emergently. With 2 open heart rooms, the program show steady increase in it's volume. Since CY '2007, the program averages over 300 open heart cases and @ 250 cases for Thoracic and Vascular combined. We are staffed with 3 team members per case including an RN, a Scrub Tech and a CV Monitoring Tech trained to second circulate in the room and is also highly competent in starting Aâ€"lines and IV'S, managing the balloon pump and blood gas, and assisting anesthesiologist on line placements.
The team is very flexible and hardworking. All are willing to stagger work hours depending on time of case. We cover the hospital 24/7 with 1st call and 2nd call. This position is critical to the success of Chandler Regional Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge of CVOR functions and principles of aseptic technique. Minimum of 2 years experience in Cardio Thoracic procedures to include but not limited to CABG, OPCAB, Valves, Conduits. Flexibility with work and on call (standby) schedule as needed to meet CVOR coverage. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Completed formal program of instructions in Operating Room technique. Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card
