Location: Mesa, Arizona

Description: Iasis Healthcare is at present recruited RN, OR /FT/DaysRotating Weekends right now, this position will be designated in Arizona. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please read the description below. Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and OR Coordinator, directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of pati! ents across the age continuum as needed to facilitate the delivery of services. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions. Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the Operating room staff and may be authorized, in the absence of the Operating Room Coordinator or Director of Surgical Services, to make decisions affecting the Operating Room area. • Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina and endurance.

• Hours of duty may be irregular or unexpectedly extended due to the requirements of the daily surgical schedule.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work! in order to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of DNV, CMS, an! d Arizona health record requirements
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Ability to effectively manage confrontational situations with tact and diplomacy
• Computer experience necessary.
• CPR,
• ACLS, PALS Preferred
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
• Previous operating room experience is required.
• CNOR certification preferred

Is aware of professional nursing standards and performs in accordance with them. ','
