Post by Jobing - Valley Anesthesiology Consultants is a large medical specialty group currently hiring for a Surgery/Office Based Anesthesia Scheduler.Essential Fun! ctions include: Greets physicians, surgery schedulers, officeâ€"based anesthesia staff, and other customers with a “can do†attitude.Monitors daily schedule for anesthesiologists, CRNA’s, RN’s and LPN’s, and/or other customers that are contracted with VAC/VMS for scheduling support.Uses effective criticalâ€"thinking skills to solve scheduling issues and conflicts throughout the day.Effectively and efficiently schedules and confirms cases and block times from surgeon’s offices and outâ€"patient pain treatment facilities.Accurately enters cases from surgeon’s offices and other specialty procedure areas.Accurately documents and relays all messages to manager, physicians, and others as necessary.Helps with Excel and Word processing projects as requested.Assists the team to maintain a clean environment in the office (kitchen duty).Maintains confidentiality regarding all clients, physicians and personnel.Develops positive relationships with surgeon and dentist offic! e schedulers.Enters surgeon/dentist office blocks in schedule.! Enters surgeon/dentist cases accurately.Maintains calendar for equipment and nursing resources.Confirms surgeon/dentist block times, equipment blocks and nursing resources monthly.Reports any discrepancies or over bookings to RN manager immediately.Confirms surgeon office case schedule 4â€"5 days prior to date.Confirms anesthesia equipment setâ€"up schedule 4â€"5 days prior to date.Coordinates courier service pickâ€"ups and returns.Make arrangements with surgeon’s office for direct payment when insurances don’t cover, with guidance from manager.Maintain exceptions and conflicts in database.Set schedule daily, review with nurse in charge.Confirm cases and ensure efficient scheduling of cases to maximize productivity.Able to effectively handle multiple phone lines.Other duties as assigned.The applicant must have the capability to work under minimal supervision and maintain detailed organization in a fast paced, high volume environment.
