Labor & Delivery is a 28 bed high risk antepartum and intrapartum unit including 14 LDR beds, 10 antepartum outpatient beds, and 4 preop/postop beds. We care for triage patients; ante-p! artum patients; intrapartum, and preop and postop patients. We are a staff comprised of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, OB Techs, Patient Care Techs, Unit Associates, MA's and ORAs. We have available wonderful providers and support staff on our unit including 24 hour perinatologists, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists. Our goal is to give safe and compassionate care. We strive to make sure our patients and families have a positive experience in the birth of their child.
The RN Clinical Nurse Lead supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in one or more patient care units, perioperative OR specialty or specialty project or program areas. Verifies that patients' needs are met and evaluates nursing care provided and assigns duties to professional and auxiliary nursing personnel in accordance with patient needs. Oversees maintenance of patient clinical records and compiles reports on medical services rendered. Maintains established inventor! y standards for medicines, solutions, supplies and equipment a! nd accounts for narcotics discrepancies.
EP Coordinator: Oversees EP area and coordinates with Cardiac Cath Lab lead to better evaluate staffing and schedule needs, training required, materials management, and provides recommendations for efficiencies. Perioperative: Identifies patients at high risk requiring advanced nursing judgment; utilizes holistic assessment, identifies relevant aspects of situations and determines the appropriate course of action to move patient/family, and staff towards expected outcome(s). Requires advanced life support certification (ACLS and PALS).
Rapid Response: Provides oversight and training while participating in the rapid response, stroke, and code team responses for critical patient care. Maintains NRCPR Database and runs abstracts to evaluate performance for quality control and recommends improvements as required. Receives and reviews preceding critical care shift reports and floor nurse reports; makes complete round! s of all units, and notes patients' condition. Chest Pain/Stroke Coordination: Assists and recommends protocols and guidelines for best practice treatment of cardiac patients across the continuum of care. Oversees the tracking process for data related to throughput of the cardiac patients and provides data to the Chest Pain Committee to initiate changes as appropriate and to improve outcomes. Assists in the development of strategic plans for the growth of Cardiology Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION : Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience, or preferred five (5) years of current critical care or periorperative specialty in an acute care setting.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION : Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona or Compact State, CPR, or advanced life support certifications such as ACLS and PALS; and any necessary Unit! Specific certificates/licenses. For Hospice, Mental Health, & Pediatri! cs areas, valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card within 6 months of hire & for Mental Health only preferred hospital approved Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training Program.
