Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) that is licensed or! in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work as the Clinical Operations Manager in the Perioperative Department (Pre-Op, PACU & PAT).
The Manager PACU & Pre-Op and Pre-Admit Testing-DV is responsible for the management and quality patient care for patients of all ages in the Hospital and PACU/Pre-op and Pre-Admit Testing departments on a 24 hour basis. S/he ensures that patients receive high quality care and service. Oversight of the assessment and care of PACU/Pre-op and Pre-Admit Testing patients. S/he ensures that surgeons and anesthesiologist are able to provide services to patients in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Manages the full spectrum of Pre-Admit Testing to assure an extremely positive experience for patients, surgeons and physicians? offices to assure that efforts are well coordinated and patients are adequately assessed, tested and prepared prior to surgery. Demonstrates clinical expertise an! d directs the nursing staff in the execution of the nursing pr! ocess. S/he assists in the development and compliance with the unit and staff performance standards. S/he works collaboratively with other Departments. S/he assists the Administrative Director with the preparation and execution of unit budgets. Participates in long range planning. Provides first line direction to all the units for which the Administrative Director is responsible in the Director?s absence as designated. Analyzes department and customer needs to include: staffing, products, equipment and services provided to users.
Requirements include:
Bachelor?s degree preferred.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied.
Current CPR certification.
Current BLS and PALS card.
3 years of clinical RN experience related to inpatient PACU.
2 years experience in a management, supervisory or educator role.
5 plus years experience ! managing a Pre-Op & PACU department.
Basic knowledge of the pre-admit testing deparment and/or willing to learn the pre-admit testing department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effecti! veness of the environment and equipment.
