Post by Jobing - Job Type: FULL TIME We are a staff comprised of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, OB Techs, Patient Care Techs, Unit Associates, MA~’s and ORAs. We have available wonderful providers and support staff on our unit including 24 hour perinatologists, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists Our Interim Maternal Child Director is Pat Brown who is responsible for the overall direction of the division. As manager along with Debra Derck (assistant manager), we are responsible for the overall direction of the Labor and Delivery Unit. We have 4 Clinical Nurse Leaders who are responsible for managing events that occur during each shift.
We are a 28 bed high risk antepartum and intrapartum unit including 14 LDR beds, 10 antepartum outpatient beds, and 4 preop/postop beds. We care for triage patients; anteâ€"partum patients; intrapartum, and preop and postop patients. Our goal is to give safe and compassionate care. We strive to make sure our patients and families have a positive experience in the birth of their child.
We have CyraCom phones for multiâ€"language interpretation available in each room. International Services is available for our large Spanish population. Performs preoperative procedures such as selection and placement of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. Scrubs and assists surgical team in donning of gowns and gloves.
Provides instruments, sutures and other sterile supplies during operative procedures. Drapes patient for surgical procedure. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED. EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of surgical assistance experience.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Basic Life Support (CPR) certificate. Preferred: Surgical Technician Certification.
