More details about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. The Department of Anesthesiology provides the full spectrum of clinical anesthesiology services. These include both major and minor operating room anesthesia, consultation services in airway management and vascular access, preoperative patient assessment and optimization, emergency resuscitation, and critical care medicine. In addition, the department operates a comprehensive acute and chronic pain service including an outpatient pain clinical service and consultation service for other departments. The department provides expertise in all subspecialties of anesthesiology, including cardiovascular, obstetric, neurosurgical, pediatric, transplantation, trauma, intensive care, and pain management. Major areas of research include inhalation anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, central mechanisms of anesthesia, resuscitation, cardiopulmonary monitoring, and pain management.
Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to provide and oversee the administration of anesthetics under the supervision of a medical staff member of the Anesthesiology Service who is a faculty member of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. CRNAs will be assigned to any of the UA Health Network operating locations including University and South Campus or the Ambulaory Surgery Center Center.
Required Qualifications At least one year of acute care experience. Must be a graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia and possess certification by the Council on Certification of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. The incumbent will obtain Health Care Affiliate status at University and South Campus and operate under those agreements.
Required Licenses/Certifications A current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona Must possess current CPR Certification Shift: Rotating shift Hours: 10 hour shift
